Group 4 – One Night Meow (19 votes)
Good
- really smooth and hilarious storytelling
- Cat is cute
- clear story and kept a constant framerate
- The way using color to show emotions
- The scenes of the animation and the changing of colours are smooth and the cat is cute!

- I choose it as my most favorite animation because I think the story is expressed in a relaxed and happy way. I enjoyed watching it. They depicted the details and every emotion of the cat. The whole animation is very coherent. The style is very united throughout the animation. It is especially hard when they choose computer drawing to make an animation and they did a good job.

- Good choice of music as the music help a lot in creating the atmosphere.

- As what Peter has said, the animation would be more interesting if they can add the habits of a cat rather than being too humanoid.

- great for using the fruits to present your work.
- I like the way they present and the colour combination is very great!
- I like the idea of using the fruits to make the videos, I particular like the reversing frame back to original vegetable and fruits.
- The story is interesting. Stop motion with fruits is really funny and creative. The music and sound effect suit the animation a lot.

- quite funny to use fruit as the medium to film an animation

- They reversed the video so that it looks like the fruits “grow” from the table. I found it quite interesting.

- I think it is great.
- In later frame, there are 4 fruits goes in circle, but doesn’t know what it means, and I can’t get the idea.
- The only improvement needed is the blue background which is a bit confusing.

- It is weird but overall very enjoyable, the aesthetic is questionably lovely

- I think the Mama Mia back ground music quite match the animation style
- I think this is the funniest one because of their choice of music and the characters in the story. The barbies always have fake smiling faces and they suit the humorous scenes when they are doing something abnormal. I think the collage scenes are beautiful also.

- the transition (the screen and music) could be more natural
- the music transition is harsh though and there is always room for more funkiness

- the music disappears suddenly and appears suddenly, if they can use an effect to make the music fade in and out, it will be better.

Group 1 – Life of a Squid (10 votes)

- They put a lot of effort on the paper cutting and it is very beautiful.
- The story is interesting.
- the transition of the squid jumping into the water
- they design many perspectives in their video, which makes the video more funny.

- The story should focus on one material that it will not be strange

Good
- the transitions are smooth and the theme is interesting
- The theme of Mahjong is quite interesting.
- people develop wonderful imaginations when options are limited, this group has shown that perfectly.
Improvement
- The animations can put some surprise to make the video better
- Maybe give more emotion.
- For audiences who don’t know how to play Mahjong, the storyline is confusing.

Group 5 – Tom and His Friend Ant (4 votes)
Good
- The use of colour
- One of the reasons is that it is my group work. 🙂
- I quite like the scene that Tom flying into the kitchen and the scene tears drop to the ground.
- the paper cut, background and other decoration look good and cute

Improvement
- As what Peter and Bryan have said, the transition should be more fluent and the ET eyes of the fear scene can get into the screen from the right-hand side to improve coherence. Also, the paper cut of the first scene can be more refined as there are still pencil notes on the paper cuts.
- the photo can be taken in a better way, like no shadow.
